WHAT WE DO
Homebound Ministers visit the sick and homebound members of the parish. By visiting and bringing them the Holy Eucharist, we help them to remain socially and spiritually connected with the parish.
WHO WE ARE
We are regular parishioners who have had training in bringing the Eucharist to homes. The primary qualifications needed are a reverence for the Holy Eucharist and enjoyment in meeting and talking with the homebound and/or elderly.
WHEN DO WE SERVE
We visit members of the parish who are unable to attend regularly scheduled Masses due to illness, surgery, other circumstances or are elderly. Homebound visits, including the Eskaton Senior Residences, usually take place on Tuesdays, although other special arrangements may be made.
HOW YOU CAN BECOME INVOLVED
Attend a short training. Spend time going out to homes and Eskaton with different Ministers to experience their individual approaches before going out on your own.
