With the quarantine keeping parish members at home, you may not have seen the change taking place near the rose garden.
Our parish Boy Scout Troop has its first Eagle candidate, Tyler Larson, who’s been getting his allowed exercise planting new trees and shrubbery before the weather gets too hot. Once the stay-at-home order is lifted, Tyler will be managing project volunteers in completing his design, which includes a walking path around the existing boulders.
An Eagle project is the capstone of a Scouts leadership training, allowing young people to demonstrate planning, communication, and teamwork skills learned and practiced through a scouting program that begins in sixth grade.
