St. Joseph Marello parish is committed to bringing God's grace to you through the Sacraments. We have programs appropriately tailored for the differing needs of different ages. Most of all, we're here to help. You'll find contact information below.
Children preparing for First Communion and First Reconciliation may register in
Marello & The K5's
, our elementary-age Religious Education program. We offer a two-year preparation for First Communion, so please make sure your children enroll by the time they reach 1st grade.
Middle school students register at the EDGE. Our dynamic youth ministers will help prepare your students for First Reconciliation, First Communion, and Confirmation.
High school students register at Life Teen. This vibrant program will help prepare your students for First Reconciliation, First Communion, and Confirmation.
Adults (age 18 and older)
The Rites of Christian Initiation (RCIA) is a ministry that prepares adults 18+ years for the Sacraments of Baptism (unless already baptized in a Christian church), Confirmation and Holy Eucharist. Sessions begin weekly early in the Fall and conclude in late May. Sacraments are received at the Easter Vigil, the evening before Easter Sunday. For more information, contact Deacon Dennis Gorsuch at 916.984.8550 or send email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Lord Jesus Christ, at the Last Supper, said "Do this in remembrance
of me" (Luke 22:19). The catechism reminds us that the Eucharist occupies a unique place as the"Sacrament of sacraments" (CCC 1211).
